Yachts D'Éther - Brand Exploration and Logo Design

Logo Ideation and Process

Initially, being playful at the start was what sparked the silhouette of the logo. After doodling for a few minutes, resembling a somewhat of a "boat" - like shape and having a high bow at the end was a distinct shape. The structure of a "simplified" doodle of a yacht had similar letter structure to a "Z" which stood out.

With a couple of word selections that represent the brand like "Yacht, Modern, High Class, Minimal, Royal."

Making outrageous sketches, I tested how far I could bend the limits of the shape. Later settling to the simple "Z" shape.
With a couple of hours transferring, polishing and adjusting the sketch onto Adobe Illustration, I was able to get the base logo down.
Experimenting with different material textures on the logo to see if I am able to achieve the story that the brand wants to tell.

Graphic Design and Illustration

With pre existing photos taken by my friend who is a photographer, I was able to curate a story with specific fonts e.g. "and colour choices.

Product Packaging and Mockups

As Yachts d'ether is a minimal naval couture brand, I wanted to bring all the environments that is familiar to someone who inhabits near a coast or near the ocean. Having good lighting and faint shadows, sand, envelopes, invitations, yacht docks and coastal rocks.
By using specific and unambiguous language, the prompt usage got the image generations I wanted in a few attempts.
